It's important to thoroughly review this document before reserving. When you book a charter with GeneralResourceZone, it indicates your consent to these conditions of refund.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete refund minus service charges
Processing Time: 5-7 working days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions
Conditions: Must be submitted in a written form via email or phone call
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half the total charter price
Processing Time: 7-10 working days
Processing Fee: €25 deducted from the refund sum
Conditions: Justified reason required; extra administrative fees included
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: There is no refund available
Exception: Situations of emergency may be taken into consideration
Alternative: Charter credits might be granted at the discretion of our management
Conditions: Supporting evidence necessary for emergency cases
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Assurance
Your security is our utmost priority. Should the charter's captain, certified by us, assess the weather as hazardous for sailing, we offer several alternatives:
- Complete Refund: Offered when it's not possible to reschedule
- Rescheduling: Rearrange your charter for another available slot with no further fees
- Charter Credit: Issued with a validity period of one year from the original booking
Procedure for Weather Assessment
The evaluation of weather condition includes:
- Analyzing wind speed and trajectory
- Inspection of sea state and wave dimensions
- Predictions of visibility and rainfall
- Notices and directives from the Coast Guard
- A safety appraisal by our professional captain
Decision Timeline: The call on weather cancellation is made at the latest 4 hours prior to departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Circumstances of Emergencies
We are cognizant of the fact that medical emergencies can happen unexpectedly. The following circumstances may be eligible for special considerations:
- Acute ailment or injury that necessitates hospital admission
- A relative passing away
- Requirement of military deployment or urgent summons
- Obligatory jury duty or legal subpoena
- Natural disasters affecting travel plans
Requirements for Documentation
In order to address requests for an emergency-based refund, please tender:
- A note from a doctor or evidence of hospital treatment
- A certificate of death, if relevant
- Documentation of official military instruction
- A court-issued summons or notice for jury service
- Reports of travel restrictions or declarations of emergency
Processing: Refunds concerning emergencies are managed within a timeframe of 3-5 working days after the submission of all necessary documents.
Operational Cancellations
Mechanical Failures
If a mechanical breakdown occurs on your designated vessel that can't be resolved promptly:
- Substitute Vessel: We'll endeavor to supply a comparable substitute
- Full Refund: If no appropriate alternative can be provided
- Partial Refund: If the alternative option has different price points
- Compensation: Additional reimbursement could be granted for the trouble
Unavailability of Crew
In rare instances where a certified crew member isn't available:
- Efforts will be made to secure alternative crew members if feasible
- Complete refund should the charter be unable to proceed
- Rearrangement for another date without additional costs
Refund Processing
Methods of Payment
Reimbursements are reverted back to the booking payment method provided originally:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 working days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 working days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 working days
Charges for Processing
Credit Card Handling
€50 charge for reversals done more than 72 hours beforehand
Handling of Bank Transfer
€25 charge for all reimbursements via bank transfer
Handling for International Transactions
Transactions across borders may be subject to additional fees
Charter Credits
Scenarios for Credit Issuance
In some situations, rather than providing refunds, we may offer credits for charters:
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice
- Disruptions due to weather
- Voluntarily seeking to reschedule
- Interruptions due to operational issues
Conditions of Credit
- Validity: Effective for one year from the date of original issue
- Transferability: Credit is non-exchangeable to other individuals
- Value: Equals the entire value of the charter without deductions for fees
- Utilization: Applicable to any charters that are available for booking
- Expiration: There will be no extensions past 12 months
Refunds for Partial Services
Service Disruptions
In the event that your charter is disrupted or cut short due to causes we control:
- Reimbursement on a pro-rata basis for the period not utilized
- Credit towards a future charter of similar value
- Optional services or upgrades at no extra charge
Interruptions Due to Guests
If the charter is concluded earlier because of the guests' behavior or breach of safety protocols:
- No reimbursement for the remaining time
- Outstanding payments are still due
- Possible additional penalties
Dispute Management
If there is a disagreement regarding a refund determination, one may:
- Ask for an examination by our managers
- Introduce further proof or documentation
- Look for a resolution through agencies dedicated to consumer support
- Opt for legal strides as sanctioned by the law

Protocol Step 3: Review and Implementation
We promise to acknowledge your application within a day, evaluate it in light of this policy, arrive at a decision within two days, and deliver approved reimbursements within the stipulated times.
Essential Notes
- Requests for reimbursement must be issued in a written format
- Refunds are carried out in €, regardless of the payment currency initially used
- Acquiring travel insurance is strongly advised
- This policy is mutable with prior notice of 30 days
- Refunds are in line with the applicable taxes and regulatory mandates
